All shades feature a half-inch deduction. For example, when you order a width of 35 inches, you'll receive a shade measuring exactly 34.5 inches. Simply select your window width, and adjust the height using the chain mechanism, which can accommodate lengths from 20 inches to 72 inches. Outside Mount:
For outside mounts, simply add 4 inches to your desired shade width. For instance, if you need a shade width of 33 inches, the total width you should consider is 33 inches plus 4 inches for proper fit. Note that all blind sizes are based on the width of the top header. There will be approximately a 1.5-inch gap between the fabric and the valance to allow for the top mechanism.
